How to use

What it does

The text toolbox bundles the most common cleanup operations into one-click buttons: dedupe lines, drop empty lines, trim leading/trailing spaces per line, sort ascending/descending, reverse line order, convert to upper/lower/title case, strip all spaces and control characters, and add or remove line numbers. Each click acts on the current text and keeps a history so you can undo.

A live stats bar shows character, word, line and UTF-8 byte counts at all times. Everything runs in your browser — no text is uploaded.

Example

Paste a few repeated lines:

banana
apple
banana
cherry

Click "Dedupe lines" and you get:

banana
apple
cherry

Then "Sort (asc)" produces alphabetical output.

FAQ

Q1.Does dedupe preserve the original order?
Yes. Deduping keeps the first occurrence of each line and removes later duplicates, so the existing arrangement is not shuffled.
Q2.How is the word count computed?
A word is any run of non-whitespace characters; CJK characters are counted per character. You also get character count, line count and UTF-8 byte count.
Q3.Will undo lose my text?
No. The current content is pushed onto a history stack before every operation; "Undo" steps back through it (up to 50 steps). "Clear" resets the box directly.
Q4.Is my text uploaded?
No. All transforms run locally in the browser and keep working after refresh or going offline; nothing leaves your device.
