How to use
What it does
Convert between JSON, XML, YAML and QueryString. The source format can be set to "Auto" to detect automatically. Nested objects and arrays are preserved; arrays become repeated XML element tags.
Example
JSON to YAML:
{ "name": "DevUtils", "tags": ["json", "yaml"] }name: DevUtils
tags:
- json
- yamlJSON to QueryString (nested a[b]=c): name=DevUtils&tags[]=json&tags[]=yaml
Notes
- The XML converter ignores attributes and comments (simple text structure)
- YAML uses the standard
js-yamlparser - QueryString arrays use
key[]=value
FAQ
Q1.Are XML attributes preserved?
This XML parser handles a simple structure: it ignores tag attributes and comments and keeps only element text and children. For attributes, use a full XML library.
Q2.How are arrays shown in XML?
Arrays render as repeated sibling elements, e.g. `{"tags":["a","b"]}` becomes `<tags>a</tags><tags>b</tags>`.
Q3.How do I write nested QueryStrings?
Use square brackets for depth, e.g. `user[name]=Tom`; arrays use `list[]=1&list[]=2`. Converting back restores objects and arrays.
Q4.Is my data uploaded?
No, every conversion happens inside your browser.
